My husband drove me around through all the back roads today. Beautiful weather. Redbuds, plums trees, and iris blooming. 127 miles. Went to several antique shops.
Just had to share what I brought.
It is a tin box. 4 3/4 by 5 3/4 by 6 inches. Beautiful and in wonderful shape. My new Singer is the anniversary model and looks just like the one on the box. Can't wait to fill it with sewing notions.

I love reading all the comments above. I use mine to hold items I need while working on my latest project. It is on my lamp table. So handy while watching tv. I wonder how old the tin box is. Do you think it was a gift when purchasing the old Singers? I learned to sew on my Grandmother's treadle machine. Such memories.

Awesome find! I collect tins so I am always keeping my eye out for things like that. Wonderful vintage piece! I have a Singer model 66 and a Singer treadle. Love the old pieces. They both work like a charm!

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

I, also, have the Singer tin. I have rolls of ribbon in mine. They are handy for all sorts of sewing items.
