Thanks for posting that quote Jonni, it's very applicable.

The darkness will never win as long as we are lights in this world and there are many lights, we see this whenever tragedy strikes, people from all walks of life steps up to the plate and does what is right.

All we can do is keep praying for the families and friends.

When I heard about this it just made me sick!!! When I think about all these innocent people who were there supporting friends and loved ones and hurting no one, whose lives will be forever changed I wish this country would go back to some good ole fashioned swift justice when they find whoever is responsible for this horrific act!!!

Thoughts and Prayers for Boston and all the families who have suffered. So senseless and sad as everyone has said I too wonder how can people be so cruel as to hurt and kill others, why?
Hugs,

Such horrible things unfolding there. I just can't wrap my head around the kind of hate that does these things! Doesn't matter what the 'cause or opinion or faith'. It just becomes senseless I think within some warped minds. So incredibly sad.

Mara, I read that last night, too. Patton Oswald is right--in his Patton Oswald way :) Thanks for posting that.

I just have to share this article by the amazing comedian Patton Oswalt. It's almost a shoutout to Fred Rogers, except Mister Rogers would not have used the "f" word (you have been warned): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/patton-oswalt/patton-oswalt_b_3088337.html?utm_hp_ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false#sb=100117,b=facebook

2 dead, 130 injured and 15 critical and 2 in grave condition, this makes me so damn mad, and so far, nobody has made claim to this tragedy, when they are found, and they will be, they need to die, as these innocent people did...I have no more words that I can post here, so for the moment I am done...

Our law clerk's brother ran the marathom...he was at the courthouse when he heard, called his parents who were there watching, and they were safely on the subway headed back to the hotel when they heard the news. He'd finished at rather a good clip in one of the first two waves. Thank the Lord for small mercies. I'm glad that you girls liked the Mr. Rogers quote. In times like these I truly long for my childhood innocence and this quote never fails to center me. Sure, i'm angry, but that gets me very little...focusing on the good in this world gives me hope, be it pollyanna or no. I think I'd be lost without it, truly. Love wins.

Jonni, it's so true. Love that quote. Someone else posted it too on facebook. m thankful that the 26 runners for Newtown (some parents of Sandy Hook kids) were uninjured. Our community couldn't bear more loss. I pray for all of those hurt and lost and the responders. Another sad day. :(

We can be angry and demand justice, and at the same time increase the love that we share in with each other and in the world. The feelings and actions can co-exist. I am so sad today, and I am looking for the helpers and healers.

My son-in-law is a triathlete, marathon runner . . he is NOT in Boston but says there are some runners there he knows. He doesn't know anything about their status. Told him we'd be praying.
Yes, there are many caring people . . . you can see that in the pics that have been posted.
God help us!

I am praying for the innocent people. We the People must stand up and unite about such things. I agree, Tina, what is wrong with people, what is wrong that we allow this to continue. I am angry.

Girls, I posted this on my facebook page and when something like this happens, I always think back to this--I know, I know, I'm a hokey kid of the 70's and Fred Rogers, but I'm reminded of what he said and I hope you'll agree--it makes me cry, especially in times like these, but I try to hold onto this so this world just doesn't beat us all down with the hate:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.” ~ Mister Rogers

Oh my goodness, prayers, prayers and then more prayers. My heart goes out to all the people and the families who are involved. May we each try and just do more acts of kindness and try to end the hate.

Blessings
