My family and I are planning a mini trip to visit SW Missouri over July 4th and the weekend following. I lived in the area many years ago and want to show my family. We also will be visiting Rocky Ridge! I just read Laura I. Wilder's Little House series aloud to my family. We are reading On The Way Home now. Anyway, we will be that way for July 4th. I haven't sat down and made definite plans, yet. I am looking for a small town Independence celebration that my family and I can visit for the evening. We like the small town feeling best!
