Just wondering if any of you have any tall husband stories. I am 5'2" and DH is 6'4". Recently we bought one of those new front loading washers. He wanted to buy the pedestal with the drawer unit to put under it. These units cost $150.00 and since we just spent $800 on the washer I didn't want it. He insisted that we would need to have a pedestal to make the washer sit up higher. This does help when doing laundry since you don't have to bend over so far to load and unload it. As you can see he has much further to bend than I do. SOOOO he built a pedestal for the washer and the old dryer so that both would now be on the same level. Well when all was done and in place the washer looked very nice. Even the door to the dryer was at a more pleasing level. However these appliances now come up to my chest. This is okay except to turn on the old model dryer I need a step stool to reach the ON switch . As my sons were helping to place the washer and dryer on the stands they started to smile. They are much more used to their short Mom than their step-dad is. DH did not catch on til he actually saw me get the stool and climb up to turn it on! Well now the washer is up and the "old" dryer is on the floor so I can reach. He wanted to get a new dryer too,but his cheap wife is waiting for the old one to die.

So any one else have any other stories to tell????

Theoanne, sounds like you need a laundry fairy at your house to take care of your laundry issues!

I am 5'5" tall, and Eldon is a full foot taller at 6'5", when we were engaged and having the photos taken for the wedding invitations we wanted to go outside and have a canyon/outdoorsy picture. We tried and tried but it just didn't work, he was too tall.
We finally just went back to the photo studio, and got dressed in our Sunday best and we were posing for a formal photo....Eldon is so much taller that the photographer got out a phone book for me to stand on, well that didn't work, so he got another, and another, finally he found a 4th...the photo turned out pretty nice!

Another one, we love Disneyland, and a couple years ago we knew we would be going twice in a years time so we decided to get annual passports. They take a photo and put it on a creditcard sized pass..they had a white wall with a blue background hung up on it...Eldon's photo shows the top half white and the bottom blue...apparently the background only goes as high as the "average" height!
