Are any of our girls that live in Florida in that area where that awful weather was early this morning?
I know several people in that area, waiting to hear how they made out.

my thoughts & prayers go out to all who perished & their families. Also to all who have to put their lives back in some kind of order after such a horrible thing. I also fear tornados, they just scare me. Hurricanes you have notice & usually can leave or take some shelter but tornados, no notive especially in the middle of the night. it's just so terrible.

What a blessing that you and yours were spared from heartache, Ellen. My youngest son lives in Sarasota and I always worry when somebody mentions Florida weather.....until I know he is safe. That is horrible to hear about those property insurance prices.....more coconuts than I have to shake out of a tree! Nance

I am so releived to hear that you Florida gals are alright!! Tornadoes scare the heck out of me!!! I grew up in Earthquake territory (Calif) but gosh..they don't scare me at all like tornadoes!! What a blessing your cousin is alive Ellen...yikes.

Hi Jeannie and Nancy Jo,
Thank you for the prayers.
Many prayers are ascending for our neighbors to the north and west of us, and my cousin in The Villages.

We are counting our blessings, she and her husband are alive. Their bedroom wall was sheared while they huddled in the tub.

Weird how warm this night was, I had gone to sleep with my windows open. Then woke up to the roaring wind rustling through the palms fronds and pines and lots of rain blowing in.

Ya notice, Jeannie, the tornadoes down here this past year have all hit on days of note=Election Day,Christmas Day and now Groundhog Day.

With our current crisis with property insurance, the oddsmakers must be putting the odds at 4:1.

How many of us can afford to have our home owners insurance be increased $645/month? That is a whole lotta coconuts.

We were north of it, but we had some terrible weather yesterday afternoon. Our rain gauge overflowed and it measures five inches. And that was in two hours or so! I hope Ellen is okay. She is in central Florida near the east coast.
