Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 3:32:58 PM Thanks for the compliments. My hubby says that maybe 10 or so years ago, people were still living in it. If you look to the lower left of the pic, you can see the corner of the house that's next door. Maybe they moved in there. I'm really getting hooked on shutterbugging!!

Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 11:14:03 AM What a beautiful old house! It is just begging to be loved. There is a cabin in the woods behind my moms that is my dream house. My stepdad has asked about it, but the people refuse to do anything with it or allow anybody else to. The kids call it "Mommy's house" and we vist it often, although it is always sad to leave.

Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 08:30:25 AM It breaks my heart that know one kept it up. When I was driving looking for old churches for the holy houses blog I found some really old beautiful houses that people were just letting go to pot! It kills me I can't buy one and fix it up. As soon as I'm done being sick I will take pics.

Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 08:23:10 AM Can't you just picture people on those porches and out on the grounds. Wish there was a picture someplace that was taken when it was in use. Great picture. NANCY JO

Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 06:53:13 AM I love that picture...especially given my screen name! And there are days when I feel like that building looks - very weathered and more than a little shaky! ;-)
I've tried to find a suitable exercise video for women my age...but they haven't made one called "Buns of Putty" |

Posted - Mar 01 2007 : 05:03:07 AM That is awesome! I would have never thought a building like that would still be around unless it was a museum. Love your pics!
