Last week I was at the Salvation Army and this was the item that made me gasp -- and I clutched it to my bosom and didn't set it down until I was completely ready to check out!
It's that wonderful vintage jadite (sometimes referred to as clambroth green) -- measures 11" across -- and you really don't want to know how much I paid . . . oh, ok . . . $1.80. Gasp! |

Katie-ell - Have you ever followed somebody around a thrift store in the hope that they'd lay down that 'thing they had that should be yours'? LOL If I had a dollar for every time I've done that.....I'd be a retired woman! Can you post pics of your collection? How long have you been collecting jadeite?

Janice -- I'm a jadite collector, too --that's why I was over the moon with this find. I especially love the old dreamy jadite like this piece. . . . so it did 'come home' to a collector. I still can't believe my luck -- and this came after two visits where I saw other women with stuff I wanted -- 'my' stuff, I thought. And then when I found this -- it made up for the other things I missed! |

Oh my so beautiful... I got to get myself out there and start finding some thrift stores and Goodwills...I am missing all the fun stuff.

Gorgeous! You will have jadite collectors drooling! $1.80!!! It could sell at an antique show for $30.00! Not that you would want to . . .

What a wonderful find! Yeah for you, I don't blame you for holding on to it for dear life, there were probably people following you to see if you were going to put it down! Enjoy! And the price makes it twice as sweet!
