Posted - Mar 16 2007 : 7:53:38 PM really nice finds. on the jewlry..have you thought of repurposing it..basically you take the largest flatest pieces in the batch then start attaching/gluing on other smaller pieces to the flat pieces to create a "jewelry collage" then attach a pin back to the whole piece. They are unique and very "one of a kind" pieces. It's a good way to use up costume jewelry pieces.

Posted - Mar 16 2007 : 3:39:31 PM I have that same set of China from Romania! The whole set! They belonged to my husbands great grandmother. I havent seen this pattern anywhere else before. The tea cups are really pretty because they have the little pink roses on the inside of the cup.

Posted - Mar 16 2007 : 2:45:11 PM Very nice, Nancy Jo. I think I have about picked over the local thrift store here even though they do put out new stuff but mostly clothes. My daughter came over today and her dad was sleeping so I left her here and I went out for an hour. Of course you know where I headed. It take 1/2 hr, to get there and then an hour to wander and I was rushed knowing I had to get back so 1/2 hour back. Everything I saw had pink roses on it. Must be the fashion or spring wishing. But back to YOU; You do have a good eye at finding the nice stuff. Those plates from Romania GREAT!! Marybeth

Posted - Mar 16 2007 : 12:56:59 PM Nancy Jo - either you have the BEST thrift stores in the entire civilized world or you have a great eye. I think it is the latter. Love the shawl. And the hair barettes.

Posted - Mar 16 2007 : 12:39:58 PM My goodness Nancy , you are so lucky to find such wonderful things. love all your finds. and I really enjoy your sharing your wonderful pictures with us. Guess what. I have a white lamp like that big white one. Only I think my roses is a different color. Mom has it right now. Because , I have no where to put it until we get our retirement home built. You group your finds so clever too. Pinkroses |

Posted - Mar 16 2007 : 11:11:37 AM Thank you Jan, that was my best find of the day I thought. I can't understand if a person didn't want it anymore, don't they know someone they could give it to? Its amazing what ends up in these thrift stores. NANCY JO
