I thought this was a good place to start an ivy plant. This came from my family and so I like to use it where I can see it. Over the years I have used it for cookies, for utensils, for buttons, now an ivy. It seems to be pretty happy, the jar and the plant. NANCY JO

Posted - Mar 08 2023 : 1:58:38 PM Nancy Jo, I too, love to repurpose other items as flower pots in my home. So much better than an old clay pot. It looks beautiful there on your coutner. I just found an old white (stoneware) soup tureen at a thrift a couple weeks ago, second one in a year and I unfortunatley, throw away the lids and use the bottom for a house plant. I love the way they look in my home vs a regular pot from the home improvement store. A little more old world, just cozy and homey. I love to use pitchers as well for vases and to hold my cooking utensils. It's fun to think outside of the box. XO
