Posted - Jul 16 2025 : 6:33:58 PM Tomorrow hubby and I will be heading out on a road trip to Florida! We are driving my in-laws car to Florida for them and then flying home. I am not a fan of long drives in the car, but I am super excited to visit some new states! Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia will all be new states for me to see. I wish I had all the time in the world to stop and see everyone, but I will wave to you all as I pass by!

Posted - Jul 25 2025 : 4:24:00 PM We made it back home yesterday and it feels real good to be stationary again! Between all the driving to get there, 3 days worth of roller coaster and 3D rides, a turbulent plane flight, train ride to get my kids, and another drive home I am happy to finally not be moving. It was enough to send my equilibrium out of whack. But it was a wonderful trip and I am glad I had the opportunity to go.

Posted - Jul 22 2025 : 06:53:38 AM Krista, welcome to the Florida swamp month of July where the heat, humidity and mosquitoes take over!! LOL!!! Did you know that the local saying is that the mosquito is the state bird, and the mildew is the state flower?? LOL!! So true especially this time of year. Enjoy that road trip as it sounds like a lot of fun to see more of the US and safe travels.

Posted - Jul 21 2025 : 12:14:11 PM Vanessa, I am so bummed we didnt get one of those sandwiches. We arrived in Paducah KY at 11:30 pm and had to be up at 6 to get on the road again. We only drove through the very corner of Kentucky.
Tennessee was beautiful! All you Tennessee Farmgirls are lucky. We truly have a beautiful country. I loved all the accents people had the further we went!
We arrived in Florida on Saturday night. And yesterday was very hot! I can see why so many of you can't wait for Fall. Our dry heat is much more tolerable then your humidity heat lol!

Posted - Jul 19 2025 : 07:34:36 AM Sorry you missed Iowa. You would now see fields and fields of tall green corn stalks and fields and fields of soybeans. Many farms and small towns. Iowa is mostly rolling hills. Enjoy your trip.

Posted - Jul 18 2025 : 2:41:16 PM Thanks everyone!
Grace, we missed the largest ball of yarn. I wasn't sure where it was until I googled it, but we didnt head that. Darn it lol!
Denise, we are heading to Orlando to pick the in laws up at the airport. They will be staying in Tampa but we are staying in Orlando and visiting Universal Studios for a couple of days. It worked out to help them but turn it into an anniversary trip as well.
Vanessa, I will look for one of those!
We have now officially traveled through Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, and into Missouri. We choose a different path last second and went into Kansas instead of Iowa. Im glad we did. I really enjoyed Kansas and loved Nebraska. All those farms make my heart so happy. So far Im not a big fan of Missouri. Way to much traffic for my anxiety lol! But I must say it's really weird not seeing any mountains!
