Posted - Sep 26 2025 : 8:48:39 PM Sorry for not updating sooner-we've had a very sad summer-last sunday my wonderful MIL passed at the age of 91-She was a wonderfully loving and caring woman and I loved her and will miss her very much. While my son was up for the funeral my husband ended up bringing him to Urgent Care-long story short he is now undergoing a slew of tests including ultrasound and CT scan-the next step is Biopsy and cancer marker blood tests-Yes, there is a very distinct possibility my youngest son only 29 has cancer. We are stunned. Currently, my husband is in a 'stagnant' phase with Pancreatic cancer with CT scans once every three months to make sure the cancer hasn't spread. My son lives 12 hours away-alone and we are so very far from each other. We plan on caring for him either up in Michigan which be ideal as we have excellent cancer care only ten minutes from our home or down where he lives which will require us to move down there when chemo begins-to help care for him. My son is adamant that he remain where he lives currently-meanwhile we wait for biopsy appointments to ultimately give us a final diagnosis.
I can't believe this is happening and I ask for your prayers for my husband and now for my youngest son for strength and healing. Thank you ladies-Just wanted to share with you and let you know your farmgirl sister needs you now more than ever. Love, Mel |
