Pantone has announced the 2026 color of the year. Cloud Dancer. It appears to be a fancy name for white.

Judith, your example would be my fate as well! Just put on white, go to the kitchen and count the minutes before something has gotten on it!!

Wearing white as my blank palette will ensure that I will spill spaghetti sauce or chocolate down my front.

Well with a white color palllete any color will be a good match!

Winnie, perhaps the white would represent more of an empty canvas for a new start or new beginning. To reflect on what we truly need for our new beginning, adding the colors to our white canvas that represent what we all need individually.

I wish they had chosen a color other than white. To me, it feels too uninspiring for contemplation. Mother Nature colors always provide us with warmth, brightness which invites everyone to pause and take it all in. Perhaps that calm would help more people to feel more energized and awake to do reflecting.

I did read that the company describes the color as "a lofty white that serves as a symbol of calming influence in a society rediscovering the value of quiet reflection." I really like that and think our world could highly benefit from that. Hopefully the color is a true prediction of what next year will be.
