Our youngest son, Dalton, who has been with us since November 12 will have his adoption finalized tomorrow in court. We are all really excited. We have to travel to where he came from (3 hours away) for the court part but it will be a big day for the family. The kids are missing the second day of school but that is okay for this!
We are having a big part outside (hopefully outside if it is nice weather) with his favorite foods. Anyway, just wanted to share!!

Jenny, I just got here today, too. As an adopted child, I just want to say, "Thanks, Mom". What are the kid's ages again?

Can't wait until Tuesday!

Love,
Patricia

Happy Wishes!

Hoorah for your family and for Dalton! I'm sorry that I missed this post last month.

We have had several adoptions in my family and we always throw a lavish adoption shower. I think that this really lets the little guy or girl know how very much they are wanted and loved and helps avoid some angst in the future.

Thanks so much for all your good wishes, gals!! We had the big party yesterday...at least 35 people..freinds and family besides our immediate family..it was sunny until the very end..it clouded up and rained for a few minutes just as everyone was going home...we had a great day and ended it by going to the county fair and riding rides for hours!!

Thanks so much for all your good wishes and prayers. We had a wonderful day and the kids were so tired by the time we got home from the trip up to court and all they were easy to get to bed tonight. Here are some pictures....

Jenny, congratulations, that is absolutely wonderful! Give Dalton a big hug from me (and one for yourself as well) . My husband and I have always said we would love to adopt someday, hopefully that can come true!

Congratulations Jenny and family! You are all blessed. May your future be one of dreams fulfilled and enough strength to rise above the rough patches. Adoption is so special that I have sometimes felt sorry for those who had their children the "normal" way. Celebrate!

What a gift to you and to Dalton !!! I have an adopted child and she is one of the greatest joys in my life. I have two biological children and we adopted our daughter. Everyone says how lucky the children are, but we know that we are the ones that are lucky.

On that subject, Dalton has a Mom that sounds very interesting, loving and has open arms to life (I assume this from your posts.)

Again, I am delighted for you and all of your family.
