Counting on you girls for one more day of uplifting...then I won't bother you any more, I promise! Cross my heart!
Tomorrow is the triple spinal fusion for my DH. He is quiet and calm but terrified. I don't blame him.Having someone mess around in your spinal column and add cadaver bones is just creepy. Please add us to your prayers tonight that it will be sucessful. This man need his job back, it is his life and he is one GOOD cop.Love you all! I am going to work on my quilt squares while I am waiting.

PS Holly's lump was NOT cancerous, thank the good Lord for that. She is my treasure.

Good to hear all went well! I remember when my DH had the same thing, the greater task was recovery! My prayers will be for his healing but for your sanity. God bless! Julia

So glad to hear all is well.

So glad to hear the good news about Holly!!!
What a relief for all of you.
Today you will all be in my prayers.
I can think of no better balm than farmgirl prayers and some fabric and a needle and thread in hand.

My sister had spinal fusion. She came through it just fine. I know it is major and nothing to take lightly.

I am praying for you tonight that your husband's fears will be replaced with God's peace. Keep us posted, and I know all will go well.

Wonderful news about Holly!!!
I will sure keep you in my prayers during and after your husband's surgery too!!
My husband had the sore hip where they took out bone too..I think that actually bothered him more..long term anyway...than the back surgery did.

Diane -- My husband had spinal fusion when our son was 6 months old, to mend him after a fall from a very high ladder. Now our son is 21 years old, and my husband is still doing physical work every day -- strong as an ox at 57 years old -- the only reminders are the big scar down his back and a sore hip (from where they took some bone) when it rains.

Your husband is in my thoughts and prayers tonight and tomorrow. Good idea to keep busy while the surgery is happening. And be sure to take care of yourself, too, in these coming days. It's a haul, but I have faith that he will be fine and dandy, just like my wonderful h.
