Posted - May 13 2006 : 05:07:18 AM My youngest son Casey will soon be stationed in Grand Forks.(Air Force) Since he has spent his whole life living in Ga he is convinced he will not like the cold. Also he is worried about his prize possession, his truck. I'm from OH and have explained some cold weather 'fun' things to do. He's still not convinced. If you are from this area tell us some things to do. Thanks to all

Posted - May 24 2006 : 09:53:20 AM I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada...about 3 hours north of Grand Forks. I spent a lot of weekends down there when I was a kid, but haven't been there lately. They do get long spells of cold weather there...I would suggest he install a block heater in his truck.

Posted - May 16 2006 : 1:45:02 PM Well, we live about 3 hours from GF and we actually got our dog from there. I have visited a couple times but I have to warn you that east grand forks smells from some factory there and it's hard to get use too. They have a really nice campus and a concert hall and a mall. But I have not spent a whole lot of time there. I hope he likes it and I wouldn't worry about the cold weather.
