If you've ever owned cats you will relate to this quicker than if not. Our dear, loving, sweet, huntress you know her as Bubbles. Well, the other day we found one of her gifts on the back patio, a dead small rat. Kayla bravely went out and barried it.
Then last night Rafael let Bubbles in from the back yard around 11 p.m. The living room being dark as it was she came in and he put her in the garage as usual.
Well, this morning I hear him with the shovel in the living room and the broom and a bunch of noise. It was too early for me to get up and my head said no you don't.
When he got home today he nervously told me what he found on the floor near the sliding door. A dead RAT!
After much nervous laughter I said how on earth did it get there. He said I don't know. Then we thought about him letting Bubbles in. I said she must have had it in her mouth and happily dropped it for you to be proud of her..But in the dark who could tell. ROFL 
Well, needless to say I have cleaned the floor about 10 times now with Basic-G. Germ killer!!!!!
Thought you could use a good laugh.

These are the funniest stories. Thanks for sharing.
Our poor kitty got sick after killing the rat/mouse and did't eat for a week. We took her in and the tests all came back neg. thank goodness. After she went to the Vet she started eatin again. LOL
I told my daughter she said, "If you wanted me to eat that badly all ya had to do was so so!"
Guess it just had to get out of her system. She was eating grass daily. My DD just loves her animals and couldn't bear the thought she might die. All is well again in our little world.

In college, my husband's cat left the head of a dead mouse on his roommate's clean white sheets in his closet. He opened the door and there was this bloody mouse head staring at him. We joked that it was a mafia style warning to him to pay better attention to her.

We had a cat, Iphicles. He would catch mice all day. On morning I came down stairs to find "kidney beans" on the floor. As I turned on lamps and woke up enough to take a better look, I realized that What I thought was "kidney beans" was really tiny unborn baby mice. I guess Iphy was not fond of them so when he ate the mouse he left the unborn babies! YUCK!!!
What great stories. Cats are grand!

My cat Mar once got out when I lived in a apartment. He came back 30 minutes later with a foil packet off someones BBQ with ribs!!! Last year he was in the backyard and I saw him hunched over something - I freaked out....he found a hot dog...He was so angry when my boyfriend took it away and threw it out! My cat hunts for BBQ.

I once had a cat named Oden that was a good hunter. My parents were having trouble with a family of small rats that were raiding their bird feeders. One day my parents were gone and I decided to take my cat to work with me (our office is in my parent's home) so he could hunt to his heart's delight. Since I was working upstairs and couldn't keep an eye on the door, I decided to leave it open just wide enough that the cat could get in and out. Well, I came downstairs several hours later and heard something rustling around under the refridgerator. About that time the cat came running over from the living room where I noticed that he had a baby rat cornered. Sure enough, there was another one under the refridgerator. There was also one in the bathroom, and another one under the piano. As I was frantically chasing at least 4 critters around, the cat chased one of them into my mom's office. The baby ran up the cord on the desk lamp and perched on top. Oden saw him and jumped up on the desk, sending several stacks of papers that my mom had spread out on the desk flying off the desk in a million directions. Of coure my parents walked in the door just a few minutes after that. We spent hours chasing all these critters out of the house. All the while the cat sat there with the biggest grin on his face and was so pleased with his work. From that day on, whenever Oden would go over to their house for a visit he would prowl around the house checking out all of his hiding places. It was hilarious and we still laugh about it today. Fortunately all of the critters survived because he was just batting them around like basketballs and didn't use his claws. I've often wondered if that was only because he had so many playthings in the house he couldn't stay focused on one long enough to hurt it. Because he used to bring icky treats in the house for us all the time.

Well my old tomcat use to bring me headless mice yuk!!
Does anybody know if cats go after chickens?
We have two and I let them out in the yard in the afternoon. We use to have three ducks, but we got rid of them,now I'm having second thoughts about getting rid of them because I have been seeing ALOT of cats in the yard lately.

I wish I could say my cat had done something like this but unfortunately I am highly allergic to them as well so we don't have a cat, but I do have a Miniture Dotson that likes to think he is a cat. He will lay in wait for the mice and pounce just like a cat. he has brought me mice, small rabbits( he didn't kill them though) and rats. Strange that he didn't kill the rabbits but each one he has brought has been injuried in someway. the last one was hit by a car and we nurse her back to health.

Great story!! We have cats here who will drag dead mice and birds into the house through the dog door. Nothing like waking up to a dead something or other in the middle of the floor! I hope you have fully recovered from your excitement.

I've seen shows about neighborhoods having so many cats killing the birds that they had to control the number of cats being let outside. Now, that's pretty amazing that cats can do that kind of harm. And, they don't know they are being bad!

A couple of years ago, I left the house and came home to feathers all over the living room and dining room floor. I have no idea how the bird got into the house. I have no idea which of the 2 clawless cats hunted the thing down. But you should have seen the surprise of feathers!! I never did find the rest of the bird..hmmmmm....

HI LIn,
Yest the Basic-G is shaklee. I've used it for 19 years now. I wouldn't use anyother cleaners. They are the only ones I'm not allergic to. The new Basic-H is organic and the Nature Bright is the best for whites and colors. Gotta love it when something works for that many years.

What makes this such a surprise is that we've had her from a kitten. Siamese, for 6 years now, and she is a very mild and loving cat. She doesn't even know how to fight when another kitty comes in the yard. She runs up a tree cause they hurt her.
But, our Yorkie is the hunter, so she'd just lay there while he did all the work of defending her and chasing mice and rats out of the yard. Plus she is jealous cause he gets to be inside and she has to stay in one room or outside cause I'm more allergic to her. Poor thing. She is really a beautiful cat and sweet as pie. We get it all. So very nice. Our one cat is an excellent hunter, and we make sure to tell him so.
What I can do without is the remains,heads and entrails left in the yard or yacked up on the front porch |

Marjean, I love the story!! Thanks for the chuckle!! We have 3 inside rescue kitties, and in that they don't go outside, they're deprived of the true "hunt"!! They have to settle for chasing each other and their toy mice!! You mentioned Basic G cleaner....is that Shaklee? Just curious...I've used Shaklee for years!! Hugs and Smiles, Lin

Those cats will catch anything! I was thinking the whole time she had caught a snake and it was loose in the house. Now that would not be good here.But just a rat, that's different. I don't blame you for using the germ stuff though.
