Posted - Jul 08 2010 : 7:10:01 PM how funny cows and goats are. left the gate open and no one went out. 15 head . i could not have that happen twice.lol well i think ida and straight horn poor girl needs a name for sure. any way they ARE pregnant in my opinion. straight horn is bagging up. watch her go first. well i would have lost money for sure the 4th. i just knew ida would calve that day. nope so now we are thinking who knows we are just learning as we go for sure. we tried to get the wild pasture goats in. had them once. gate going wrong direction. ok so ya have to be smarter than the goat. well not today. gonna leave trailer there so they get used to it. hope it helps. otherwise i will have to find a cowboy or girl with horse to lasso them goaties. they are wild.but the boys will breed their sister if i dont get them separated.so WAITING STILL but at least i think they are pregnant LOL twice LOL happy days sherrye

Posted - Jul 08 2010 : 07:08:20 AM ok still waiting. finally gave up and opened the gate. we had them locked in a small field to calve. been paying for hay. so turned them loose on 40 acres to calve wherever. at 140.00 a month for hay they can eat grass. so straight horn has mucous and is getting loose on the back end. it is all a guessing game now. waiting happy days sherrye

Posted - Jul 06 2010 : 10:19:28 PM Sorry Sherry, but I had to laugh at your post. Animals are so funny aren't they?!? They keep you guessing all the time. I hope that soon you will know if they are either really fat or very pregnant. :) Hugs, Channah

Posted - Jul 06 2010 : 9:29:17 PM well what can i say? ida is still taking her sweet time. now maddie is actually starting to bag up. so the guess is 2 weeks for maddie. who knows with ida crooked horn. now her heifer calf is due also. so if they are actually pregnant we should have calves soon. bite my tongue. i surely hope they are all pregnant. who knows. i shall never go without a tail bleed pregnancy check for my cows. now all i can say is the goats LOOK pregnant. they are either really fat or very pregnant. they waddle when they walk. heres hoping i am not wrong i need calves. happy days sherrye

Posted - Jun 23 2010 : 7:50:10 PM she is still hanging in there. we have her daughter coming onto her due date too. then there is maddie. not sure she is bred at this point. she is late too. so you would think with 3 supposedly pregnant one would drop a calf. still waiting sherrye
