Posted - Jul 09 2010 : 7:38:00 PM thanks so much girls it is such a releif. i will be glad when they are all on the ground., well today lisa on her own was able to get the goats in the horse trailer and hauled over here.they are soooo wild. this should be interesting to say the least. we have the moms in the corral in the back and the babies in the front cow barn in stalls. way ols enough for weaning and i hope the little girl is not bred. we are going to watch her closely. so happy days here. i am tired now and ready for a hot bath and a happy movie. sherrye

Posted - Jul 09 2010 : 08:33:02 AM thanks girls, hey jill those cows are called dutch belteds. we have a cow with calf that is part belted. the disadvantage is they are soooo very big. her name is hippo for a reason. she is short and wide and when with calf a barrel. gotta go check mouth for cleft pallet and give bo se shot. now 2 cows to go she will be traded to my neighbor for her heifer calf. the reason is so we can use our own bull in our herds. so we do not breed back. we were hoping for white. they said they would trade anyway.happy days sherrye
