Posted - Jul 19 2010 : 02:08:50 AM Do cats have dreams? As I was sitting here at the computer in the middle of the night, I suddenly heard my cat meowing loudly in the bedroom. Not his usual sounds at all, but very loud and rapid fire. I called his name and heard him jump down and run across the hall to me. He came in blinking and stretching as though he had been asleep. My husband woke up too, and he says this has happened a couple of times in the past (I guess I slept through it). Stubbs seems fine. He's in the same room with me right now, chasing a fly and putting his all into it. Should I be concerned or do you think he was just having a nightmare? |

Posted - Jul 20 2010 : 07:16:07 AM My cat does that a lot. She is about twenty years old though. I think she sees ghosts LOL. Probably dreaming. It's kind of weird.

Posted - Jul 19 2010 : 11:00:33 AM Often I see, as my cats are sleeping (which they do a lot), twitching, and meowing softly. So, I think they do dream. I'm sure they dream about the mouse or bird that got away! Hugs to your cat. Marly
