Last night when I went down to pen up around 8:45, Sienna my senior doe had a tiny kid standing underneath her. Our first doeling
Last year she had 2 beautiful bucks and this year after Mi Hija, our doe, had her buckling last month, we were praying for a girl.
Saucedo Farm Mocha Surprise will be her registered name. Mocha because her head, neck, and shoulders are black, her body is chocolate, her tail is black on top and right in the middle of her forehead is a tiny white spot. Surprise because she wasn't due until the 25th.
Sienna appeared to still be in labor last night and with no second kid this morning, we took her to vet. A xray showed no tiny skeletons, so it is just the one kid this time. Still we have our baby girl and all is right on the farm.

OH Congrat's on the sweet little girl!!! I hope we get to see pictures - there is nothing better in life then goats.....

its always joyous when you get a girl when your looking and hoping for one. i sure hope isabel has a girl. kris i sure know the disapointment when we do not get what we want. 2 cows out of 4 not pregnant. thats a lot of food for no return this year just FAT cows like aunt jenny said. so happy days for you and your new girl doe. happy days sherrye

Well, I am just so stinkin' jealous! Just kidding. But not really. Anyway, I am happy for you to finally get a doe. Maybe one day I will too. There is still hope, right? But really, I am happy for you and glad all went well for the momma.And what a pretty baby too. I love the name. Have fun with her!
