Along the same vein as ticks.....I'll miss the hottter weather but not al the crawly bad insects!

Put on hiking shoes last night to take the dog for a stroll and ended up not going due to my ankle and foot that started to itch.

All of a sudden these small red and intensly itchy red bumps started up. All the itching woke me up at 3 this a.m. I'd rather scratch myself raw than go through THIS misery

So I'm guessing either I picked up a batch of chiggers from walking in newly (a week ago) bushogged fields the other night OR these are bited from hay mites from work. I did restock alfalfa and got a bunch of it down my socks and boots, but the socks were washed and not worn the next day

Oh the misery! And pity to anyone else who has also been itching and scratching this summer! p.s. anyone else have trouble with espeically itchy tick bites too?

At work we sometimes get hay mites. Pretty bad when all us girls lift our shirts and our stomachs and bra lines look like we were beaten or something.

My foot is better. Anytime we go walking now I douse my socks and shoes w/ a 2% deet (Family Off) and slather my feet with Badger brand bug repellent salve

So far 2 times out, I have slept through the night w/ no itching

Odd how I'm still finding those tiny seed ticks though......and pity ANYONE who gets into nests of these! I have heard all kinds of stories about this!

... a week ago I was attached by fire ants.. my feet and legs hurt and itch like the dickens! Oatmeal bath soak has been helping some.
Itchy bugs are rude!

I have had problems with hay mites and I've not been around anything but concrete! My son brought home things he had in a storage building and we think that is where they came from. I'm alergic just about anything that makes you itch.

What I did worked over a period of a week and that was to spray my legs in the morning and at night with Deep Woods Off. It was the only thing that worked. You can't see them but the spray got rid of them. Hope you get some relief.

You can tell your dog all of your secrets and they'll never say a word!

Sure did, but my ankles and foot look like hamburger now from scratching.

Can much rather deal with pain over intense itch!

Thanks

I hate chiggers! We don't have them here but used to get into them when I visited my Grandparents in Arkansas. Hope you can get the itching to stop soon.
