Do baby squirrels count as Barnyard Buddies? A tiny squirrel fell out of our neighbors tree and Mom didn't come back to get him. So I am despirately trying to keep this little guy alive. At the moment he is on my lap wrapped up in a towel, just had his dinner, and he is sleeping.
Here is a photo of him from Thursday when we got him.

I am trying to find a Wildlife Rehabilitator to take him. My daughter-in-law is one, but she's in Colorado Springs :(. She has been telling us what to do with him, many e-mails and phone calls :)
Hugs, Ruth

That is the smallest little baby I have ever seen. Not even a bit of fur yet. Looks like it's just a few days old at the most. You will have your hands full. I know what you can do, Ruth. Bring it here to the Nature Center. I have done that alot. It's in Tiftonia at the beginning of Lookout MT. below Ruby Falls. Then we could meet somewhere and have lunch! Ok, just called and they do not take these animals anymore. But did give instructions as to the care. Also a # to call for a wildlife guy. 931-393-4835 or 931-841-9781. The recording did say you could take it to the Chatt. zoo but I wouldn't do that as they are very understaffed right now. You may be raising a little squirrel. But we can still meet for lunch.

I found you something yesterday in Alabama. I sure wish you could have come. But I hope you had a great time with your family and the birthday boy. Me and Kelly want to go to the Amish farmer's market soon. She needs a few hens. Me too.

Kris

Aww Ruth! You are so sweet! That little guy is lucky to have you taking care of him!

Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.

Just a small town country girl, farmgirl, loggergirl, trying to live her dreams. :)

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!!
