Posted - May 08 2013 : 06:56:14 AM If you follow my blog, you already know that my 16 yo dd's dog had surgery for a mass in his foot.
The mass was sent out and yesterday I found out that Jesse does NOT have cancer. He does have cellulitus.
It can be caused by a previous puncture to the area. After talking it over with the vet, the two punctures (identical) could be a snake bite.
So, he's going back to the vet tomorrow for medication.
Must have been a black water snake, from what we've seen here.
I'm just thankful it was not cancer.

Posted - May 09 2013 : 05:24:13 AM Oh Kristina, So glad to hear it is not cancer. Our kitty got cellulitus from her vaccine last year when she was still a kitten. Scared us all to death as we've lost so many animals from cancer. Nice to see some good news. Keep us posted.
Hugs, Nicole
