Posted - Sep 23 2014 : 5:08:41 PM What an awkward situation this morning.....
We've had trouble in the past with a neighbor's dog(s) killing our chickens and cats. Sadly, this morning was no different.
We found one of our cats mauled and killed. I drove to the neighbor's house to confront them. I knocked on the door and no one came to answer. I go to leave and my truck won't start!!
There I am, stuck in their driveway. I'm thinking to myself, "What I'm going to say if they drive up? Um, I'm here to fuss with you about your dog and now I can't leave"
I called my mechanic to come give me a jump. While he and my husband and I are trying to get my truck started, the lady of the house comes out of the house. She was there the whole time!
I had my moment of discussing the dog situation with her and then said I had to wait for the tow truck. It was SSSOOOOOOOO AWKWARD being stuck in their driveway after having a heated conversation.
One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt." |

Hopefully the week will be better for you now! Dawn in IL |
