I saw on tv " they " want to make GE cows now so there will be no more mad cow desease!! what is wrong w/ this people So now a person goes to the market to buy meat & like corn, tomatoes, bananas, soy & who knows what else, there will be no label telling them there eating a GE (genetic Engineered) cow. They may escape mad cow but they will probably get something worse. Why are they not labeling this stuff?

I had a wife of one of my boss say that my meat was gross and wouldn't eat it because it was home raised. If she ever saw a feed lot she wouldn't touch beef again. At least I know what was put into my cows and they were treated with love and respect and kindness. If you guys have seen Pasty you know she is one spoiled cow. I think some people have no idea what goes into there food. They just have no idea. It makes me wonder with all this GMO foods, what we are doing to ourselves. I would love not to have to go to the grocery store at all.So much goverment rules and regulations, USDA and FDA, but are they really looking out what is best for the consumer, or is it big business they look out for?

As I understand it, the FDA has said that cloned meat is "safe". Cloned meat is not in food production now, according to our local farm broadcaster. There will be a battle to have the cloned meat labelled as such before it comes into the market, he predicted. So stay tuned -- and be ready to battle!

I don't know I this has been posted anywhere yet.... but I did happen to hear that the FDA has approved the sale of cloned meat without labeling. So you could be eating it now and not know.

Your dollar has power. Buy local.

I really need to find a way to keep my own calf to raise for beef, don't I??? Space is my issue. For now I buy from a local farmer, have it butchered by a local butcher..same with the pork we eat. Jeesh!!
