Posted - May 19 2007 : 12:30:44 PM Melanie, Thanks so much for the swap package. It arrived today and was the perfect surprise to come home to after a long morning of running errands on a cold, damp, rainy day. Since this was the very first swap I participated in, I was so excited. The preserving book looks great and I can't wait to try some of the recipes. I'm sure that I'll be entering one or more in our state fair in September. Hopefully one will be a blue ribbon winner. And the apron was a nice surprise. Ladies, Melanie sent me a handmade apron that is so cute. It's pink with little lambs on it and it has blue rick-rack on the edge. Somehow she must have found out that I like sheep. I tried it on right away and haven't taken it off. Well, I did have to take it off to let my 6yo daughter wear it for a bit.
Thank you again, Melanie. P.S. It was so nice that you wrote a little note in the cookbook for me. I wish I thought to do that for yours. Looks like it took about 11 days to get to me, so I hope your package will be getting to you this coming week.
