Posted - May 22 2007 : 12:16:47 PM I went out to the mail today and I got a package!! It was from Ricki (Simpler1773) She sent me an old small round tin - so cool. Also some wonderful handmade soap that is really made from purified recycled cooking oil from a local restaurant near her. It smells wonderful. It was wrapped up with a old pink and beige scalloped ribbon. This just made my day - I just finished working 8 days straight and this is the only day I get off before I go back to work tomorrow - it just brightened my day. Thank you so muck Ricki - it was just so thoughtful. I wanted to post a photo but can't find DH's digital camera.

Posted - May 26 2007 : 05:12:30 AM I'm glad you like the tiny tins, Anne. And I'm glad they arrived safe and sound. Your collection sounds like fun! I'd love to see a photo of all your tins, sometime. :)

Posted - May 25 2007 : 3:55:08 PM Came home today and what did I find - another package. This one from Janice Hall "Miss Bee Haven". Inside were some wonderful tins. A scotch tape tin, white Colverine brand Salve,Cleansing cream from Max Factor (which is cool cause it says Hollywood California), a small Tabcin tin (for colds and hay fever) and my favorite a small, looks like a lipstick tube, Tums tin in pale green.
Already the scotch tape tin is up on my cabinet with the tin from Ricki and some of my other tins - Virginia cigarettes, etc.
The others I will keep safe with my boyscout first aid tin until we re-model the bathroom and then they will be proudly displayed in there on my grandmother's old jelly cupboard.
These are just wonderful - both you girls are great!!!!
Again, tried to take pictures but DH has the camera - ugh!!!!
I will try to get my hands on it and post pictures this weekend.
I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful surprise these both were.
Thank you so much.
