I would like to be the swap mama for a Buy Local swap...
How about six girls?
We will each pick our favorite locally produced item and buy enough to share with the other five gals. Try to find things that are not just made where you live but use some materials from your area.
Let me know the size of what you are sending- I would like to use little boxes if possible to keep costs down. You will all send them to me with $5 so I can put them into small flat rate priority mail boxes to send back to you full of the others gals items.
Our things will need to be small enough to fit in a 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" box. If we need to we can do the $10.35 boxes which are much bigger.
There is no suggested value, just something special from your little corner of the world. Let's try to get some farmgirls from all over. Sign ups will go until it is filled, I am hoping you can send your items to me by September 25th so I can have them to you by October 1st.

Dawn just emailed me to say how much she loved being a last minute recipient of our swap...I left our little goodies on her door while she was visiting Sean at the nursing home late Friday night. She was tickled and says 'your Farmgirl friends are the best!".

Thank you girls for all the little gifts! It was like Christmas yesterday opening my package! My daughter grabbed at all my earrings, but I said No, they are mine, lol!!! :) I did let her have some postcards for her collection though!
Everything was wonderful, and I know I will enjoy it all!

Brenda- I received your package and thank you! The pin keep is amazing and the soap smells so good. The bag you sent for Dawn is sweet and I will get everything to her soon. I will mail off your package today so look for it next week.

Yes after the smell has gone which takes about a month. So it may be good smelling by now, at first it smells like rotten eggs! yuck! You wouldnt believe how many people go there to get that stinky water every week to drink instead of buying it from the stores. I dont know if they drink theres right then or they wait for the smell to go away but I just know I cant handle the smell and if the taste is like it smells! Well no thanks! But it taste just like reg water after the smell is gone. So drink up! Hope you enjoy!

Gals, I already packaged your things up and I will be sending things off in the AM so if you want your extra item returned email me pronto. If you do not I know of a very worthy recipient, my girlfriend Dawn is getting a little care package from me this month because her husband is deathly ill and has been in the hospital for over a month. She is the breadwinner and he is the BEST stay at home Dad and videographer. He came down with flesh eating bacteria and they had to remove much of one leg, he is now looking at many other surgeries and they are finding lots of tumors (so far all benign) in his pancreas and liver. Anyhow- they have the sweetest little boy and girl and I want to spoil Dawn so....

Brenda and Melody- I am going to send you individual addresses in your email so you can mail them to each gal, that way we will all be opening our packages together this week. I don't think I can keep my kids out of the packages here for one more day!!! I will send yours along so tuck in a little mailing money for me as well.
It will be worth the wait;) Melody- I am so sad your package got lost in the mail, what a huge bummer and thanks for being willing to send another.
