Posted - Nov 01 2009 : 11:10:32 AM I received a 1950 Singer Featherweight sewing machine from my hubby for our recent wedding anniversary. The machine is in excellent condition and sews like a dream. Unfortunately it came without a manual. Neither my local quilt shop nor the sewing machine shop (non-Singer) had a manual on hand. The copies available online have grainy pictures for the machine oiling points and are hard to read.
If you have an old manual you'd be willing to photocopy or the book entitled, The Perfect Portable, 3rd edition, you'd willing to barter/sell, I'm definitely interested.
Or, if you have a link to a clear copy of the FW 221 manual, please share.
Thanks, Teresa

Try the above; thats where I purchased mine for download about three months ago for a machine from 1924! The downloaded manual cost $10.00 and I believe that the CD's were $15.00.
Good Luck!

Posted - Nov 01 2009 : 4:26:31 PM Hi Teresa, Try this web site. I just got a manual for a treadle sewing machine. They have several manuals for singers. Not sure if the one you are looking for but worth trying.
