Hi There Sisters!
I am in the process of teaching myself to card/spin fiber. I have homemade rugs and wool mittens to barter. Also in the market for a wooden sock loom if anyone has one hanging around :)
Hugs,
Columbine

I just fixed my profile so people can email me. I'll be offline for 2 weeks but if you'd like this hand made spindle, I'd be happy to send it.

I don't have what your looking for but wanted to share something-- Took a spinning and natural dying class about 40 years ago. Learned to use the drop spindle and the hip spindle. You don't see much about the hip spindle now but it was much easier, more relaxing and went faster that the drop spindle. You can see one here http://weavinginbeauty.com/weavinginbeautymercantile/weavingtools. My friends father made us a drop and hip spindles very easily with wooden dowels and disks of wood. Hope you have fun.

I also am learning on my own how to drop spindle and card fibers...this week I'm going to clean wool for the first time. so excited....hope all goes well.
I love fiber felting...and would like to do more as in learning more in this art. on top of spinning wool for yarn as well.
