I broke the zipper in the side seam of my very favorite skirt - and I don't sew! Well, I quilt, but that's totally different than trying to replace a zipper!

Does anyone want to replace the zipper as a barter for something I might have? Let me know what you are interested in. I am in Northeast PA.

Thank you!

JoJoNH has kindly volunteered to do this for me - thanks!

I'm not much at sewing, but I'll look for a zipper and see if there are instructions with it if no one is interested in bartering to do the job!

Thanks!

When you take the zipper out-leave your threads in there & that is your guide for where to sew. Does that make sense?

When you buy those in a fabric store, they come in a packet that has instructions inside. Pretty easy, actually. I mean, if fumble-fingered ME can do it.... ;-)

I find it best to hand-baste the zipper into place rather than pinning.

I'll see if I can do a photo - I'm not too good at it! The zipper is about 6 inches long and is in the side seam of the skirt. There is a hook above it on the waistband. The zipper doesn't show when it is zipped up (is that what they call an "invisible" zipper?)

Thanks!

what kind of zipper--can you take a pic of it? :) (some are easier than others. . .at least for me)
