I'm cleaning out my attic loft and have decided to part with my small collection of vintage beauty and charm books. They aren't worth anything, but I love them so much I can't stand the thought of them ending up at a recycling center, and they're too old to be much use to the library. Because I think someone here will appreciate them, I've decided to offer them free of charge - I only ask to be reimbursed for postage - before packing them off to the antique store in town.

The collection includes:
[list]
  • 3 volumes of the Homemaker's Encyclopedia (1952), including Personal Beauty and Charm, Fashion Sewing on a Budget, and Etiquette for Everybody
  • All 4 volumes of the Nancy Taylor Course (1964)
  • How You Look and Dress: A First Course in Clothing (1959)
  • Sally Young's Home Book of Beauty and Charm (1951)
  • Guide to Beauty, Charm, Poise (1969)
  • Beauty Book of Knowledge, 14th Edition (1959) (softcover)
  • Anita Colby's Beauty Book, including the pamphlet "14-Day Eat-Plenty Reducing Diet" (1954)

The woman is the heart of the home. Let us pray that we women realize the reason of our existence: to love and be loved and through this love become instruments of peace in the world.

Jessie I would absolutely LOVE to have these. I'm sending you a private email right now.
