Posted - Jan 09 2010 : 11:57:26 AM Sometime back it was posted to reactivate the Hotties. Heart of Texas Farmgirls. It was planned that the different regions would have chapters and then we could have bigger get to gethers with the whole group from time to time. Well, best I can tell this has gone nowhere. I have a whole lot going on in my life but I will go out on the limb for the Praires/Lake region of Texas. I have ideas for meeting at Cracker Barrel or the Petro in Weatherford on First Monday weekend and having brunch and then on to the flea market for junking as Miss Wilma calls it. And then there is an Herb Farm out of Mineral Wells where we might have a field trip. A Lavender Farm in Gainesville that has a tea room. I am sure I could come up with other places and maybe we could carpool to these.
Is anyone interested? If not I have plenty of things to keep me busy. I will renew the post for the chapter that listed the map check to see where your location fits. LaVonna

Posted - Feb 13 2010 : 04:49:09 AM good morning, gals! I'm game for just about anything. Day trips are probably the easiest for me so I can care for the animals both a.m. and p.m.
I got to meet a couple of HOTTIES at a restaurant and it was great. It's fun to put faces with names and get to know each other better.
One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt." |

Posted - Feb 11 2010 : 08:56:49 AM Canton is nearly 3 hours from me, but I get over there every once in a while. I will definitely be there in late June for a bluegrass festival. |

Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 10:15:34 PM A long time back it was said we might could have a farmgirl field trip to Canton. Would that be close enough for you. It is quite a ways from me but I could do it every so often.

Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 08:50:02 AM Another Texas farmgirl chiming in! I live in Deep East Texas - the Pineywoods. The closest farmgirl to me that I know of is Victoria in Palestine. Anyone else? Maybe we could have a "meet & greet"! |

Posted - Jan 11 2010 : 07:23:15 AM Lavonna, Awww... you have to do it one person at a time...then it grows... !
And that is basically why I have been trying lately just to pull the Texas girls together online in the Henhouse! At least it's a start! LOL!!!

Posted - Jan 11 2010 : 07:13:28 AM I would like to join in LaVonna. I didn't even know there was a lavender farm in Gainsville. As long as I could get someone to watch the boys for the day I'd be there. I know another local farmgirl or two that may be interested. They just aren't active on here.

Posted - Jan 10 2010 : 10:50:22 PM Yeah, but you see how many people have been answering here. I was trying to stir up interest locally. I know we could probably not do an outing very often but it could be fun. I would be super happy to participate with whatever you do.

Posted - Jan 10 2010 : 9:50:47 PM Hi, Lavonna.. This is great. I was at least hoping to round up all the Texas Hottie girls online for now but if you can have your area meet up - that would be wonderful. If we can try to do this in each area, and then eventually have one big Texas Farmgirl Round up once this year centrally located for everyone, it would be something. I believe it can happen! One step at a time. :D
