Posted - Jun 10 2007 : 7:10:26 PM hi everyone! I am so excited about finding this forum and especially for finding a the idea book in the thrift shop!! I almost never go to a real book store so it was a real treat to find!! I am so impressed with all the information in the book.
I'm originally from Queens, New York of French and Brazilian descent. My family has called Maine home for the past 8 years and have grown to love it. We are a Navy family, before Maine we lived in Key West and then Japan for four years.
I have 3 children that keep me blissfully happy!! I hope to get to know all of you soon! I have always loved Little House on the Prairie and wished I could live the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I am an aspiring blogger and Stallholder for Barefoot Books.

Posted - Jun 13 2007 : 8:15:49 PM Hello, Delphine, and Welcome! I know you'll love it here--it's such a warm and welcoming place (as I'm sure you've already noted :))
I'm jealous that you live in Maine, though...you'll have to give me a full report of Brunswick. Husband and I have a 10-15 year plan to get us there (Maine)....
Again, welcome! Jonni

Hello from Wenatchee WA - only about 3 hours from Mary Jane's Farm! I found out about this website from the recent issue of MORE magazine. What a treat. My husband and I always laugh that we think we were farmers in a previous life!
We are retired and building our second home here. We are pooped. Our current house has not sold yet, so we are working in one and sleeping in the other which isn't all that bad! We just got the yard in and the garden. I bought cucumber, pepper, basil and parsley plants instead of starting seeds as well as tomoatoe plants. It's been very windy here, so we are watching everything very closely. I planted signet marigold seeds and small sunflower seeds on Sunday. Time will tell how well they will do. The grass seed has just popped and we picked up the clothesline poles this morning. We're ready to move in!
We have one daughter who is 26 and lives in Tacoma WA. At home we have two shelties and two kitties. I am an avid quilter and my husband and I both love to cook and garden.
I know I am going to really enjoy it here!
