Hi Everyone!
I am brand new to 'Mary Jane' & the forums. A wee bit about me ... I am an artist who dabbles in different mediums. I spin my own wool, knit, dye and just have a grand time playing!
I live farm life vicariously thru others - while living on a postage stamp lot with DH, 2 dogs & a very, very fresh parrot!
I live as organically as possible ... and even have a small vegetable garden! Yes - I am the few who actually hangs her laundry outside in my neighborhood ... (please read: I am one out of two who do!)
I am really excited to be here ...
Kary

Hi Trina, it is fun that we share the same name, not too common around here. Thanks for the nice welcome. Like you said, it is a second home here for me too, just love it.

Welcome Kary! You're going to fit right in here. It's a great place to share ideas and learn. I have a friend who also spins (I'm going to learn how from her). She raises her own sheep and Lamas and then sheers them, processes the wool, dyes it and then spins her own yarn. She also knits the most beautiful things from it all and sells her yarn too. I've been going with her to her spinners group for the past year and they've all been after me to learn. Can't wait. You'll find a lot of Farm Girls here that live the same lifestyle you do. Welcome, welcome, welcome.

Peace and love.
Annie

Hi and welcome Kary!!
theknottysheep Posted - Jun 20 2007 : 10:10:27 AM
Thanks for the welcome!
My parrot is named "Kiwi" - he is an eclectus. He says all sort of stuff ... calls my husband, calls the dogs, sings, says 'hello' when the phone rings, says 'hi mom' - plus quite a bit more. He is quite funny.

I think it is great that so many farm girls are crafty! I am feeling the need to embroider something soon ... maybe pillowcases!

hugs,
Kary

Welcome, Kary! Farmgirl really is a matter of heart and I glad to hear that you are exploring the farmgirl in you! I know you will love it on this board...it's like a second home for a lot of us!

Corrine--Welcome to you as well, you are new since I've been away. Nice to meet you. My name is Corrine (pronounced with an "a" at the end), but I usualy go by Trina (that was my nieces corruption of my name and it stuck).

Welcome, Kathy! What kind of parrot do you have? My dh and I take care of a Moluccan Cockatoo who is very fresh, too. What does your bird say?
