Hello, I am Holiday Angel Pauline, President of Heavenly Angels in Need Children's Division. We help babies, children & parents in crisis situations. All of this is by volunteers, which we need as many as we can get, and is free to the families we donate to. This is a nationwide registered 501c3 charity and has been up and running since 2003. We need knitters, crocheters, painters, woodworkers, writers, and anything else you can think of for crafts. There are many ways to help. I am also a country girl, raised in Oregon by an Auctioneer, Preacher, farmer, and ace of all trades from a family of 11 children. I have been raised on horseback, picked berries & beans, and bucked hay with the best of them. My web page is info@heavenlyangelsinneed.com and one of my four daughters is it's founder. I have three My Space sites, one His Holy Space site, and the regular Children's Division section of Heavenly Angels in Need. I look forward to getting to know all of this wonderful bunch of hard working people here. Thank you, Pauline Hale

Posted - Jul 19 2007 : 12:07:55 PM I am loving this and I have checked out the site. We have grown a lot since we started and have covered all the United States and some out of the Country. We have helped with Katrina Victims and Operation Blessing as well as other larger Organizations around the country. Love the mud between the toes and sometimes even a good warm cowpaddie..lol The moose ones make good Montana mosquito's. (You have to see one to understand lol)

Posted - Jul 19 2007 : 11:46:02 AM Hey Pauline,
Nice to meet you! You will love this forum. There are quite a few of us that sew, knit, crochet, etc.
I think I remember seeing your charity when it first started I have a "Preemie Baby" charity now in it's 10th year! The name is "hearts for God". Myself and many talented ladies through the years have donated thousands of items to the USA Women's & Children's Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. That is where the Level III NICU is located for the coastal area of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. They care for 75 to 95 preemies on any given day!
The first time I toured the Level III NICU (back before the new privacy laws were in affect) I just couldn't beleive this world existed. Those babies ("stars" as I call them are truly resting in God's hands. My life was forever changed when I started sewing for them and I haven't stopped.
I have just finished my new website that encompasses my business and the charity is a section of the site. Here is the link to the Preemie area if you'd like to look:

I have a bunch of photos to edit for the photo album so be sure to check back to see what me and the volunteers are up to
Hey Linda,
You are into a little bit of everything like myself...so many projects so little time....LOL Hope to get to know you better!
...til next time ~ queenofdreamsz

Posted - Jul 18 2007 : 5:36:50 PM I just love the site. I have signed up for all the posts for now, knowing with our forum that I would be in deep, but it's my way of being lazy and not having to dig deep into the forum too fast, just get them sent by new posts. Thank you for having us!!

Posted - Jul 18 2007 : 1:15:16 PM Hello everyone...I am new My name is Linda Chavez, living now in Scranton, Pa I lived on a farm during my childhood and have memories that I love to recall and share. I found this site while looking for cloth doll clubs, etc.
I love to make handmade things...especially dolls! I have heard of a doll "swap" similar to the traveling doll.
I have experience with making simple (non white) dolls to send to abused children and orphans in foreign countries. I consider myself a homemade "artist", sewing, crochet, needlepoint (plastic canvas), embroider and knitter. I make original designs for crochet. I do not sell anything, just make for fun as gifts or to keep. I am finding my way around the forums and know that I fit right in! I love it! Linda in Scranton, PA
