Just wanted to stop in and say hello! I am new here and from what I have seen it is a great site! So much info in one place! I hope to get to know everyone and even learn a thing or two! Right now I crochet, re-do old furniture, and other types of needlework. I live in MD with my husband and 3 of my 5 children. The other 2 are on their own. I am also a SAHM so I am always looking for interesting things to do with my little ones. Well, I hope to meet all of you soon and have a blessed day!

To answer the furniture question......lol, I love anything old, especially hoosier cabinets and china hutches. I have redone an old buffet and I am currently working on an antique queen anne style chair. My house is filled with hand me downs that my husband and I have refurbished and I love them all! I do have a piece that was my grandmom's that I will never part with! I would love to have my own redo shop, but time is an issue. Maybe one day...

Welcome Tammy! Glad to have you, I am a relatively new MD Farmgirl too! I am in Forest Hill in Harford County. Glad you found us!

I may give you a toot sometime about the old furniture refinishing. I just found and old old old school desk. The back half is the desktop and the front half is a bench / seat and you line them up in a row. Well I only got one but I want to refinish it and put it upstairs.

Glad you found us! You will love it here!

Hugs,

Lorna

Hello and Welcome Tammy!!
Nice to meet you. What type of furniture do you re-work?? All five of my children are grown and live close by. You will love it here with all the farm girls, such fun and so much to learn.

Hi, Tammy! You're gonna love it here. Everyone's so nice! I like redoing old furniture, too. In fact, most of my furniture is either hand-me-down, flea market or garage sale finds. I'll look forward to hearing more from you!

That is funny. Here I was thinking church of some kind. Guess you could say they are certainly as dedicated toward it. I was always at home , except when driving truck long haul, but I was always out in the farmyard working or bucking hay too..
