Hello everyone this is my very first post on the Farmgirl Connection. I am a momma to a 16 month old baby girl (hence the name :) and her birth has brought me into a whole new way of life and living and joy and learning. I have discovered the person I want to be based on the mother I want to be to her, the wife I wish to be, the woman I want to be for me.
Anywho - connecting back to the the simple ways and back-to-earth connection are of a strong interest to me in all those roles. I live in a small town in Michigan and while I don't live on a farm (sigh), was not raised on a farm, do not know anyone who owns a farm - I have this mental picture in my head of this little house surrounded my fields and my garden out back, and some little animals living around us and feeling like that right there is my heaven on earth even if I haven't got that now - I've got my clothesline, my container pots and I'm learning to embrodier and sew.
So I guess that's a little introduction. I would love to chat with anyone out there and I'm so glad this site exists! :)

Welcome Tabitha. Loved reading about you and your baby and what you desire. You are definetly a "farm girl" in spirit and that's what counts. You'll love it here and learn much.

Peace and love.

Hi, Tabitha! Welcome to the group! Sounds like your heart is in the right place, even if you aren't standing in the middle of acreage. And having your heart in the right place is the most important thing!

Hello again everyone,
I am new too...didn't know where to put this email.
Have been typing to a few this last few days but I wanted to find the place to tell my farm story.
I am a city girl now living in a townhouse in Scranton, PA
But farmed as a child for a few years.
Is this the place to share some memories?

Hey Tabatha,
So happy to have you with us. Little people are the most precious and amazing gifts given. Now that you are here, you won't be able to say you do not know anyone with a farm. You know the dream of a farm comes first so you truly are a farm girl. Enjoy the company!!
