Posted - Aug 03 2007 : 09:56:00 AM Welcome Lisa. I agree, it's not where you live it's how you live and your mind-set. If you think you're a "farm girl" at heart, you are one. And there is just so much here to learn and share and so many "farm girls" to chat with, that you'll have the time of your life. Enjoy!
Peace and love. Annie |

Posted - Aug 02 2007 : 06:03:06 AM There are so many wonderful things to read here on the boards . The egyptian event at horse park is fun --i went one year to it and thought about merchanting at it but never followed thru with it .I went thru a stage where i did some horse barding and i still do bellydance costuming for people and animals .Turned a horse one year into a bellydancer for a girl for a halloween horse show --that was interesting. Horse thought so too . :) I am sca (society for creative anachronism ) member and costume of all sorts intrique me. Friend of mine got me addicted to using yarns and fibers of all kinds several years ago . I never knew there was so much variety out there of it .We bought from a lady on ebay that got the yarn ends from the mills .I look forward to reading thru the boards and looking at everyones websites to see all the neat things ! I finally got a digital camera last week that takes a decent pic so i am in process of reopening ebaystore and thinking of doing a webpage somewhere. Right now i am making turkoman style hats that i do from felt bases and then braid the fibers and sew them onto the felt bases. If you want to see one i finsihed recently it is over at www.ebaystores.com/shadowsofthegoddess I grew up in lousiville and hated there --too much city for me. Lexington is a nice change for me. I love to bake so i am looking forward to reading the maryjane cookbook very much . |
