My sister in Minnesota has been sending me Mary Jane's Farm magazine the past year and I've so fallen in love with it and I was thrilled to find that there was a forum!~ I love to sew, knit, garden (& recently started canning), bead, CP soap. I do petsitting and have 4 indoor and 2 outdoor kitties. Oh, and in addition to the 4-leggeds, a (2-legged) son in college~LOL

Welcome from Memphis, TN
Used to live in Littleton (its a suburb or Denver, right?) I could see the mountains out our window and wished I lived up higher. It's been 32 years ago. Bet its changed a lot.
You'll like this farmgirl chat spot. So post away and enjoy. Glad you joined up.
P.S. I just got Mary Jane's book too. I was trying to hold out and let someone give it to me for my birthday in a few weeks but I couldn't wait. So gave myself an early birtday present last night.
It's a beautiful, inspiring, and informative book. I've already cried several times while reading it.
Enjoy it.

Hi Cheryl! I drive near Loveland each week on my way to visit my son in Greeley! I can always tell I'm in Greeley as the stores play country music and the clerks are so much friendlier~LOL

Hi Bonne. I said Hi in the EO topic, but wanted to stop by here. I am up in Loveland so we are kinda neighbors! I look forward to chatting with you. Maybe you could keep me updated on "farm girl" things going on around Denver. There's really not much up here.
Talk to you soon,
Cheryl

Linda,
I recommend browsing these 2 sites for more info on food preservation:

I haven't gotten past jelly yet, but it's a good project to start with!

Hello & Welcome Bonne!!
You are one busy girl and all those legs to keep track of. I am inspired to hear you just started canning, I would like to learn how to do it. My hold up is being afraid I will kill my husband with some type of botilism and our kids will think I just wanted the farm to myself. Hey, it's nice to meet you Bonne!

Welcome to the forum Bonne!

I found the MJF Forum throught the magazine as well! I am sure you are going to love it here! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I have learned so much from these ladies.

I love doing CP and HP soap. What are your favorite scents? Do you do Essential Oil or Fragrance oil or both?
