Posted - Aug 16 2007 : 5:27:48 PM Hello everyone!
My name is Holly. I hail from the Midwest, but now live with my husband's family in the Northeast. My grandparents had a dairy farm while I was growing up, so I am the daughter and grand-daughter of true Farmgirls! |

Posted - Aug 20 2007 : 8:32:56 PM Welcome Holly, from another Holly here in the midwest. How do you like it out there in the east? I have a good friend that moved out there with her family recently and the main difference she talks about is the weather, mainly the humidity. I wish we had a little less of that right now. I live south of KC out in the country, but the farthest that I have ever moved is to eastern Iowa. I loved it there almost as much as I love it here. Very friendly people. Tell us more about what you are doing out there and maybe some of the main differences.
God Bless, Holly |

Posted - Aug 20 2007 : 11:30:21 AM Hello to all farmgirls! I had no idea this site existed--but boy am I glad I found it! I have always wished I lived on a farm, but I'll have to make my 2 1/2 acres suffice as I do not. My grandparents had one back in Penn. raising cows and hay and I've always felt most at home there and around "farm people". They are the most caring, comforting folks I've been around. The people I've read about on this site seem exactly that way-and I've learned so much already! You're all wonderful! I look forward to visiting you all on here often. |
