Posted - Aug 17 2007 : 09:42:36 AM Hello all! My name is Camille and I live in western Washington. I've been here 7 1/2 years, lived in Texas before we moved here. I have read MJ's first book and loved it! Now I see she has a second one out -- Can't wait to get it! I usually come and read messages but I finally deceided to try posting. I could sit here all day and completely enjoy myself but I know I have to tear myself away and do other things too.

Posted - Aug 20 2007 : 8:03:48 PM Camille, welcome to the most wonderful group of ladies you'd ever want to meet. It can be addictive, getting on the site and reading and posting. But hey, if you are going to be "addicted" to something, why not a bunch of really great farmgirls and their ideas? I am interested to here more about your grapes, nut & fruit trees. I started some myself last year and I am impatient with waiting for the "fruits" of my labor. In fact my husband says by the time my pecan trees are big enough we will be dead! Can't wait to here more about what you are growing.
God Bless, Holly |

Posted - Aug 20 2007 : 09:13:51 AM Thank you for all the warm welcomes! I live close to a small town called Cathlamet, WA. We have 1 acre with grapes, hazelnut trees, cherry trees, around 12 apple trees and a couple of pear trees. We also have a little beach area that we can go down to and we jetski on the Columbia river. I have a wonderful husband of 21 years and we have 2 boys, 14 (almost 15) and 16. I drive a school bus for Cathlamet school distict where my kids go to school. It's a small school, about 600 kids K-12. My favorite hobby is sewing and I just finished my first quilt a few months ago. Now I am working on a quilt for my oldest son.

Posted - Aug 17 2007 : 10:33:07 AM Welcome Camille. Glad you found us.
Isn't it funny how just reading one of her books or magazines and "bam" your hooked. Go to her web-site and you can order her other books and get the set of past issues of the mags. You just can't get enough.
And I know what you mean about getting on-line here - you just don't want to get off. I'm on for hours at a time going through all the different forums and chatting about with everyone. But it's just so much fun.
Do tell us more about yourself and where you live - in town, country, family, etc.
Glad you found us. You'll love it here.
Peace and love, Annie |
