Hello to all farmgirls!
I had no idea this site existed--but boy am I glad I found it!
I have always wished I lived on a farm, but I'll have to make my 2 1/2 acres suffice as I do not. My grandparents lived on one in Penn. raising cows and hay and I've always felt most at home there and around "farm people". They are the most caring and comforting folks around. The people I've read about on this site seem exactly that way-and I've learned so much already! You're all wonderful! I look forward to visiting you all on here often.

Howdy, Lisa! Welcome to the MJF way of living. There is so much to learn from everyone on all the different forums. Look for you to join in all the different conversations going on. From the sounds of it you are a farm girl at heart and that's all that matters. Enjoy.

Hi Lisa,
Welcome to the farm! So glad you have joined us. Hope you will jump right in. Don't let the size of your "farm" bother you. We only have 5 acres but we raise chickens and we have a tons of wildlife here. So being a farmgirl is a mindset. There are many things here that tie us all together. I know you will find a few if not many kindred spirits here. Farmgirls are the BEST!

Lisa, so nice to meet you! You're about two acres ahead of me, so I'd say "farmgal" status already applies to you! The rest of us are farmgals in spirit. I agree, these ladies seem to get so much more accomplished in one day than I do in a week! Good luck with turning the thumb green! Whether you garden in a pot or on a plot, it is addicting! Welcome aboard, you will have so much fun getting to know everyone! Nance

:-D I get to sit at my computer and visit farmgirls! Thank you to Miss Bee Haven (how clever), hideaway farmgirl, Marybeth, Alee (I have to ask-how old is Nora?),Holiday angel, createmyworld (Beth), Maryjane Lee, Luzy, Aunt Jenny, Mary Jane, and mamahumbird (Holly) for the warm welcome..sniff..you're so kind!
Like I said I live on a couple of acres, alot of it forested. I am a SAHM with 4 kids, a wonderful hubby, 2 horses a goat and a dog. I delivered mail for 15 years, but when child #4 came along it was time to stay home! I feel so lazy after reading all that you get done--but I'm also inspired! I ordered MaryJane's book, and one for my sis who has 10 acres in Wash. (envy, envy). I'm determined to break my curse of a black thumb-and I was well on my way this year--then came the DEER! I thought my fence was good enough.... but that's my current project. Make my fence good enough. Thank you again! Well, off to read about you all...:-)

Lisa,
Welcome, we are all so glad you are here. I have 10 acres and right now alot of it seems to go to waste! You can do alot on 2 1/2 acres. What are your hobbies? Do you have a garden on your land? Do you have a husband or any kiddos? Let us know more about you.

God Bless,
Holly

So, what do you do, on your 2 1/2 acres in Dalton Gardens, Idaho?

Hi, Lisa! Welcome to the forum. And 2 1/2 acres is quite a bit of land! Tell us all about your place.
