I am searching for a particular size canning jar. It is a Ball wide mouth that is maybe 20 ounce and it has a line at the top that says fill to freeze. I have tried every imaginable search but with no luck. This is not a very old jar, just maybe not too popular so it was discontinued...? Any help or search ideas would be so very appreciated.
The closest I have found to this size is a weck jar that is for asparagus, I want to can pickled green beans and this jar is a perfect size!!!
Thanks

Thank you ladies for your help. I have since found out that the jar I am looking for is simply called the 1 1/2 pint jar. (makes sense) but..........they are no longer made!!! Weck, a German made jar has what they call the asparagas jar, beautiful jars but boy are they expensive. I will keep checking yard sales and thrift stores, as well as here. You all are so helpful!!!!!!!Have a great one.

I think maybe I saw some of these at WalMart (yes, I broke down and went there because my daughter said they had Leifheit canning jars for $5.00, turned out they were Ball) I don't know if they were 20 oz. but they were labelled canning/freezing jars.

Tina,
I looked, but found none that were 20 oz. The only thing I can think of is ebay or similar and save it as a search so any time someone lists 20 oz or widemouth canning jars you will be notified and hopefully will be able to find some that way?!? I will keep my eye out as I surf the net and will let ya know if I see any!
Hope you find some!
Hugz!

Hi, Tina! I'm not real sure I have any, but when we bought our house, the owners left a TON of jars of varying sizes in the cellar. I'll see if any fit this description and let you know. Fair warning -- I only have access to decent internet service on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when I come in town for work, so you may have to wait a week before I can get back to you on this. I'll let you know as soon as I can, though!
