Hi Brandy,
Welcome from another "new girl"- I can really sympathize with your poultry situation; I've spent the last couple of years trying to convince my neighbors that I NEED chickens...good luck with your husband!

Welcome Brandy. You asked about pickles.....I tried making dills this year for the first time and had great success. I used the recipe from Ball's Blue Book of Food Preservation...it is a must for the home canner. Best of luck! and glad you joined us here.

Hi BrandyBee
If you make pickles like Grandma Mary no one will be over for seconds. Mom just did have the nack for pickles. Grandma Walker did, but all her recipes died with her. She just didn't like to share recipes. I'll check Grandma Next Door's recipe box for her recipes. They were good.
Love you Aunt Mimi
