Hi, my name is Kate, and I have been a lurker on this site for a few months on and off. What a great site, I have learned a lot!
I live in a small town on the western outer ring suburb of the twin cities metro. I don't live on a farm-yet, but I am hoping to some day.

I have two children, a daughter who is eleven, and a son who is going to be seventeen in a couple of weeks. (where does that time go?)
My "baby" is a Scottish Terrier named Angus.

I work full time at a job I love.
I love to read and happened upon MJ's book by accident while browsing the farming/gardening section of Borders.
For fun I "work" at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival as a hawker of fine wares, and attend off season events with friends from there.

I have recently taken up sewing (for garb purposes) BUT, I am not very good at it yet and usually require assistance and a swear jar-LOL.
I love to bake, but can't cook to save my life. I can barely boil water, but I make a killer chocolate cake.

I am trying to go as organic as my budget allows and love learning more about that and green living. But, I have a long way to go on that too.

Well, I suppose I have rambled enough.

Welcome from a former Minnesotan. My hubby and I use to live in Prior Lake and in Savage before he/we retired and now live in S.D. So know your area quite well. Also, we were married at the RenFest 16 years ago this next Sunday the 16th - and in full costume with our kids as attendants in costume as well. Was a great time.

You'll love it here. Be sure and check out all the different areas and jump in and chat awhile. There's lots to learn and I'm sure you have lots to share. Glad you're here.

Peace and love,
Annie
