Hi!!

I've read here off and on for a while, and decided I should introduce myself. Thank you for all the wonderful ideas!

My husband, Roy, is in the Marine Corps and we have 5 children with another due in March. We're currently in Virginia but will be getting our orders in December that tells us where we're going next. We're supposed to move in April.

The first time I heard of Mary Jane's Farm was 2 years ago on my birthday. My husband had taken me out and we ended up at Borders to have a coffee and browse. I saw the book and just had to have it...it was so GREAT!

Hi Melissa! I am new to this as well. I live in Floyd Virginia, but I am working as a contract (travel) nurse in Fredericksburg. Good luck, and looking forward to getting to know you.

Welcome Melissa,
We are ex-military and were stationed in Norfolk for the last years of military life. We moved a lot. Our last child was born in Virginia and we always loved it there. We didn't stay because of little job opportunity at the time. Congratulations on new little one coming.
Hope you enjoy it here!

Congratulations on that big, beautiful family, Melissa. And congrats to your dh(and you) that he can retire in five more years while you guys are still young.

Janice,

Kayla is 16, Samantha is 9, Matthew is 6, Alexander is 3, Hannah is 18 months. Baby Girl is due March 6th. We probably won't decide on a name until the day she's born. :)

My husband has been a Marine for 15 years...just 5 more until retirement. This move should be our last military move and then just the move to wherever we want to live. Unless my husband decides to pursue more education or something. At this point in time, it doesn't matter to me! I'm just looking forward to the day we settle somewhere and stay and I can make the land the home my own FOREVER! LOL

Currently he's stationed at Quantico as an instructor.

Hey Melissa, always glad for new farmgirls around here. I grew up an army "brat" and am familiar with the life =) Sounds like you got your work cut out for you this year with the move and the new little one coming.
Hope to get to know you!

Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart

Hi, Melissa. It's great to have you here. It sounds like you have a wonderful family. What are their names/ages? Is your dh stateside or overseas? Where ever he is, thank him for his service. Servicemen and women are all heroes to me.
