Posted - Oct 27 2007 : 4:37:51 PM Hello All, I am new to this. I was raised on a farm for most of my life, and while I had it I didn't enjoy it. (I'm a rather prissy sort of girl) Now I really want a farm and I'm trying to convince my husband that this is the way to live. My mom (Farmgirl2) turned my on to Maryjane, and I am so happy that she did. I am a RN and am desperately trying to find some way to make money as a Farmgirl, so as not to have to leave my lovely farm house. I love to sew, quilt, garden, can, cook, eat and obviously talk. I look forward to getting to know you all. Robin

Posted - Oct 29 2007 : 09:25:02 AM Hi Beth! Yes Robin and I are in the same county of Floyd Va about 20ish min apart and Robin has already started work on a chapter called The Farm Girls Next Door. We are really excited about this. We also have another farm girl my youngest daughter Leslie (who does not have a computer yet)who is already signed up with us.
The name for the chapter came from a business name that the girls and I owned until March of this year, a consignment store called The Girls Next Door.

Posted - Oct 27 2007 : 6:52:23 PM Thank you all. My mom taught me everything I know. As they say "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree". That is so true with us. I am exactly like her in every way. We are contagious and have a great time no matter where we are. Life is definately fun around us. My sister is just like us. And we happen to be raising two more "farmettes" like us as well. Robin |

Posted - Oct 27 2007 : 4:53:42 PM OK Girls, I can't say enough about Robin she is one special person. She is one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet and she has a beautiful heart also (not to mention one not so shabby daughter).
Robin is also one of the absolutley most desirable people to be around due to her big smile and enthusiasm about anything that she is passionate about. And YES she is prissy always has been but not afraid to get dirty in her fabulous garden either. Today our whole family went to the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival at Ferrum College and she was so sassy cute in her new pink barn boots from TSC with matching lipstick, of course. She really was so cute with the PINK John Deere tractor!!
You girls please help her grow as a farm girl and she has lots to offer also. Hugs, Robin's mother, Becky
