Posted - Oct 08 2005 : 3:03:45 PM Hi Everybody! Not only am I new to MJF but to chat rooms in general. I received a copy of the magazine from a friend in Kentucky and was blown away! First of all, it took me three days to read it - so much good information I didn't want to miss a thing! In the meantime I jumped on the website and have been reading all the wonderful entries, even tried the baking soda/essential oil air freshner in my laundry room (works great!). I already feel like I have a new group of friends from all over the country!
I live on 2.5 acres in northern Indiana. We've been here three and a half years and we've been managing the property organically and have learned so much with so much left to learn. The article about lawns in the No Place Like Home issue of MJF has given us some good food for thought about naturalizing part of our yard.
I want to pass the magazine on to my mom to read as I know she would love it but I'm not sure I'm ready to part with it yet, even for a short time. I keep picking it up and re-reading different sections.
I can't wait to jump on and take part in these great discussions. |

Posted - Oct 08 2005 : 5:22:11 PM Hi Tiffany!!! So glad you joined us. There is a lot of wonderful information here and the people are awesome and always willing to help. I still haven't had a chance to look at a MJF magazine. They don't sell them anywhere near me and I've been too lazy I guess to order online. I'll have to do that. Anyways welcome!!! |
