Posted - Oct 20 2005 : 5:59:38 PM Hello everyone. I am a newbie. My name is Sylvia & thanks to my cousin Eva I am starting to get into the world of crafts. So far she showed me how to make these pine cones that you cover in scented candle wax. You throw them in a fireplace & they are supposed to make your whole house smell nice. I don't think mine came out very well LOL. I should warn you I know next to nothing about anything LOL I am the type of woman who can't sew, can't cook, & basically can't do half the things that women are supposed to know how to do from birth. So I guess I could use A LOT of help LOL My cousin has been showing me how to do little things here & there, but w/out her standing right there to help me I am afraid I will fail in whatever I set out to do. She says in time I will be able to do these things on my own w/out thinking. I hope she is right, but I really think I could get into this. Some of it is hard work, but I am finding it a lot of fun. So if I ask stupid questions on how to do this or how to do that please bare w/ me LOL I am a newbie. I am hoping I can learn a lot from all of you because I am more than willing to learn.

You will find your creativity stirring and feeding your soul and your intellect, and you will find many friends here who also have the courage to ask questions, to create, to fail, to succeed, and to share. |

Posted - Oct 20 2005 : 11:20:28 PM Welcome Miss Newbie Sylvia....here's a tip for you...When you set out to make something, it's called a project...When it doesn't come out right and you think you've failed, that's when we call it ART!! Art is from your heart and never "wrong", so stick with it girl. |
